Author Biography
Frank Zelko teaches history and environmental studies at the University of Vermont. He received his PhD from the University of Kansas in 2003 and spent a year as a postdoctoral fellow at the German Historical Institute in Washington, DC, and three years as an assistant professor at the University of Queensland. He is the author of Make It a Green Peace! The Rise of Countercultural Environmentalism on the history of Greenpeace (Oxford University Press, 2013). From September 2012 until June 2013 he was a fellow at the Rachel Carson Center working on his current project on the role that holistic ecological thought has played in mitigating the disenchantment of modernity.
